How to play
Casino poker is played against the dealer, not other players. You make the best five-card (or three-card) hand and beat the dealer’s qualifying hand.
Two games, two flows
- AntePlace the opening bet.
- DealTwo cards to you and the dealer, three community cards on the table.
- DecideFold and lose the ante, or call at twice the ante.
- Turn and riverTwo more community cards.
- ShowdownBest five cards wins. The dealer needs a pair of fours or better to qualify.
You and the dealer each get two cards, and three community cards are dealt. You then fold, losing the ante, or call with a bet of twice the ante. Two more community cards follow, and the best five-card hand wins. If the dealer does not qualify, usually with a pair of fours or better, the ante pays by a paytable and the call bet is returned.
- Ante / Pair PlusPlace the ante, the Pair Plus side bet, or both.
- Three cardsYou and the dealer each get three.
- Play or foldMatch the ante to play.
- ShowdownThe dealer needs queen-high to qualify.
You get three cards and decide whether to play or fold against the dealer’s hand. The dealer usually needs queen-high to qualify. The Pair Plus side bet pays on your own hand alone, a pair or better, whatever the dealer holds.
